Debbie Washington
Hello my name is Debbie
I am an experienced Psychotherapist and trainer.
My belief is relationship is the key to successful therapy as this allows trust, respect and mutuality to build resulting in an open, honest, safe space in which to work. I aim to create a space that will allow you to talk explore your difficulties and challenges in an impartial and independent way no matter how large or small the problem.
Counselling allows you to explore your difficulties and challenges, where together, we can understand why you feel the way you do. To be able to make changes to your life and feel empowered to re-gain control of your life. I believe an important part of counselling is creating a collaborative and non-judgemental environment
I am experienced in providing therapy for a wide range of mental health, psychological and emotional issues including generalised anxiety disorder, PTSD, self-confidence, depression and self-esteem and trauma issues.
I use psychotherapy to help you understand your history: to enable you to become more aware of unconscious processes that may be holding you back from experiencing high quality relationships, improving your health and having a happier life experience.
You may experience overwhelming feelings as you release deep emotions during the counselling process as you find your way of improving your mental health. I am here to support you through this process with empathy, compassion, encouragement and acceptance. -
